Future Light Africa
Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person
Mission
Future Light Africa LBG, a Ghanaian/Nigerian NGO, was founded to combat poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, operating in over fifteen communities both in Ghana and in Nigeria, it provides vital support to malnourished, under priviledged and educational disadvantaged children.
We firmly believe that one person or organization might not change the world but that they could change the world for one person.
Africa’s Challenges
Why has Future Light Africa taken on the mission to help African children? The word Necessity sums up the situation. Sadly, the statistics tell the story quite clearly.
The Statistics
- In Africa, about 50% of the population are poor
- A recent figure shows that 40% of the population lives on less than $1.00 per day
- The worst conditions are in rural African villages
- In the street of most Africa countries are homelsss children who can barely survive.
- A high percentage of children under the age of 18 years old are living on the streets in Ghana and in Nigeria.
- Nutritional support is needed by at least 23% of Ghanaian and Nigerian children and teens.
- About 52% of families in Africa do not have access to quality health care
- According to UNESCO 2022 figure, 98 Million children and youth between the ages of 6 and 18 are not in school in sub-Saharan Africa
- The level of literacy rate among school going age in Sub-Saharan Africa has been on the decline in the past few years due to political unrest and decline in economic prospects.
- Training and skill acquisition leading to sustainiable jobs are inadequate.

The direct provision of basic supplies by future light Africa initiative is helping families break the cycle of poverty. Material support especially to the less privileged women and children are helping to alleviate hunger. This we believe is one of the strategies that can help alleviate povery in Africa.

Health awareness campaigns and medical fundraising are essential to improve health outcomes and reduce the impact of disease outbreaks in West Africa. By educating people about disease prevention and control measures, and promoting healthy behaviors, we can work towards a healthier future for all.
